Watercolour Painting - Tuesdays 3.30-4.45pm
ST SWITHUN’S HALL
191 Hither Green Lane, London, SE13 6QE
Beyond the Brush : We always aim to ensure a love for art that grows with each exciting session through playful discovery and hands-on creation! During this course we start with the magic of basic tools within watercolour painting, where brushes become "magic wands" and water "wakes up" sleepy colours, as children become "colour detectives" mixing hues and creating dreamy effects.
We'll do loads of exciting experiments, like "ice painting" and using all sorts of daily materials to express ourselves truly "breaking the frame" of traditional art. Children will discover creativity with mixed media & collage, combining paints with fascinating textures for imaginative storytelling.
Our activities are thoughtfully crafted to be interactive, inspiring, and tailored for growing minds, ensuring every child remains enthusiastically engaged. Watch as your child builds self-assurance, keen observational abilities, and a vibrant, expressive approach to art-making!

Mixed Media - Wednesdays 3.30-4.45pm
ST SWITHUN’S HALL
191 Hither Green Lane, London, SE13 6QE
Layered Wonders : We always aim to ensure a love for art that grows with each exciting session through playful discovery and hands-on creation! During this course, we move beyond the single page to explore a world where everyday objects become artistic treasures and different materials collide to create unique masterpieces. Children will become "texture explorers," discovering how paint, ink, and collage can work together to tell vibrant, multi-dimensional stories.
We'll do loads of exciting experiments, like bubble wrap printing and using all sorts of found materials to express ourselves, truly "breaking the frame" of traditional art. Children will discover the endless possibilities of mixed media, combining paints with fascinating textures and 3D elements for imaginative storytelling. From "shattered" geometric portraits to kinetic, moving creations, we encourage every young artist to see shapes as possibilities rather than fixed objects.
Watch as your child builds self-assurance, keen observational abilities, and a vibrant, expressive approach to art-making as they bridge the gap between 2D drawing and 3D construction!

What is your policy on snacks and water?
We know little artists work up an appetite! We recommend children bring a labelled water bottle and a small, nut-free snack to enjoy at the beginning of the session if they would like.
What age groups can attend Creative Chameleons After School Club?
We warmly welcome all children from Reception through to Year 6. Our sessions are tried and tested and is designed to be inclusive and engaging for all primary school ages. We thoughtfully tailor every activity to match each child’s individual ability—ensuring our "little Chameleons" (Reception–Year 2) get the sensory, playful support they need, while our "Big Chameleons" (Years 3–6) are challenged with more advanced techniques and concepts. No matter their starting point, every child is supported to grow at their own pace!
How do I book my child's place and when is payment due?
Booking is simple and can be done directly through our website below. To ensure your child's spot is secured, payments must be made in advance for each full term. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Do children need any prior art experience to join?
Not at all! Our courses are designed to welcome complete beginners alongside those with some experience. We believe every child has creative potential waiting to be discovered, and we will guide each child at their own pace, building confidence and skills from wherever they start.
Can I use Childcare Vouchers or the Tax-Free Childcare scheme?
Yes! Because Creative Chameleons is Ofsted-registered, we are happy to accept Tax-Free Childcare payments and various childcare vouchers. Please select this option at checkout on our booking system.
Does my child need to bring their own art supplies?
Not at all! We provide all the professional-grade materials your child will need, from high-quality watercolours to 3D modelling tools. We provide aprons but recommend they wear clothes that are "art-friendly," as we do like to get hands-on and messy!
