Autumn Term 2026 Courses Now Open
Ready to launch this September! We are bringing an incredible line-up of brand-new, skills-focused clubs to Brindishe Manor. Here is a snapshot of what our young artists will be mastering this term:
🎨 Mondays: Sculpture
Theme: Fantasy Creatures: Design & Engineering
The Skill-Up: Children transform from artists into creature designers and structural engineers. They will build a 3D skeleton from recycled armatures, master "wet phase" papier-mâché layering, sculpt with paper clay, and finish with professional priming, blending, and glazing for a final term exhibition.
✂️ Tuesdays: Mixed Media
Theme: Layering, Textures & Optical Illusions
The Skill-Up: Breaking the boundaries of traditional 2D art. Students will master 3D paper engineering (building folding structures and secret flap rooms), test chemical and tactile layering (using cellophane, organic textures, and acrylics), and build kinetic elements with yarn strings and transparent film illusions.
🖌️ Wednesdays: Painting
Theme: Unconventional Tools & Magical Textures
The Skill-Up: A deep dive into water, pigment, and pressure control. Moving beyond basic brushwork, children learn "tiptoe" precision and heavy "belly flop" broad washes. They will manipulate experimental sensory tools (cling-film textures, bubble stamps) and explore chemical resists and atmospheric perspective.
🏗️ Thursdays: 3D Modelling
Theme: The Ski Resort Diorama
The Skill-Up: A hands-on experience blending fine art with structural engineering. Young inventors will construct multi-level cardboard mountain landscapes, layer realistic paper-mâché snow drifts, craft intricate micro-details (miniature lamps, custom stands), and build moving pipe-cleaner cable car mechanisms.
